Vintage Ice Cream Maker

Hi Everyone
 Happy Saturday

Shopping for vintage is a treasure hunt
you never know what you are going to find
 that is part of the fun
Some treasures bring back fun memories like this
adorable  vintage crank ice cream maker
Memories of our family celebrations  which always included home made ice cream
all the kids took a turn
cranking the handle and watching the ice and salt as it would spin around the bucket
Our mouths watering just thinking about the
first taste of the delicious ice cream
 it was a test of patience to wait until
the ice cream was ready
 {it always seemed to take forever...}
The younger kids would go first and then as the ice cream started to set
and the cranking got harder the older kids would take turns it was fun all working together
all in anticipation all feeling we helped
and when the ice cream was ready we all got big bowls full of this fabulous treat
{Love}
 this vintage crank ice cream maker
it looks pretty with flowers in it but we are all excited to
try making ice cream
and more fun memories too

  3. Your flowers look nice in it, but I will take the home made ice cream anytime. We used one older than this for years. Makes the best ice cream ever.

  4. Pam, cranking home made ice cream is a sweet memory from my youth as well. The smaller ones got to sit on top to weight it down as other would crank. Oh, for the simple pleasure of our youth. Thanks for this lovely post.........Sarah
