Our outdoor dining table is where we
{Love}
to have our
Thanksgiving dinner
and this year if it is warm enough we will eat outside again
I decided to add a white ribbon and a few garden roses to the outdoor chandelier
It will look pretty with the white lace tablecloth

Last year the Bunny's joined us
feasting on grass in the backyard

The teak table is big and right outside
the french doors of our living room

The patio is covered so it is a comfortable place
to eat outside in the late evening
This year will be the third year for our family
Turkey Cookoff
My Husband deep fries a turkey and
I bake one in the oven
The first year my Husband won, his turkey was amazing
It looked like road kill but it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
My turkey looked great but it was not as tender
Last year I won because my Husbands turkey did not get cooked all the way through
Our family and friends will have a secret vote
Can't wait to see who wins , the truth is
we all do because we have lot's of delicious Turkey left over
I just grabbed the white lace tablecloth for the table
the outdoor chandelier is decorated
The shell votive candle place cards are made
now its time to polish the silver and get all of my Grandmothers dishes out
{Love}
the tradition of using my Grandmothers dishes just like she did years before me
I keep thinking about pumpkin pie and homemade whip cream yummy!!

ReplyDeleteI love that outdoor pergola and dining set up you created! I have never tried a deep fried turkey myself. Hope you win!
ReplyDeleteWow! How magnificent to have Thanksgiving dinner outside! I live in the North East and that just is not possible! This is my first time here and I love your blog! Please be sure and visit me and get some more great ideas for the Thanksgiving table and more!

Your table is going to be beautiful! I love the picture from last year with the bunnies...I did a double take! lol! The chandy looks great!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in the contest. I've had deep fried turkey before and you're right, it does look pretty bad but tastes good. To give my oven baked turkey a lot of flavor, I put herbs in under the skin. Jazz that baby up!

Jane
You are in warm sunny California. We can't eat outside...too chilly. Love the whites.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning back patio area!
