Hi Everyone
Happy Wednesday
This little hutch has stolen my heart
♥
Here is the before picture
I was going to paint it gray
I painted the sides to see
how it looked with gray on one side
white on the other
The hutch just came alive with the white paint
{Love}
the contrast of the gray walls and the white furniture
So grateful that this vintage piece
did not end up at the dump
It turned out so crisp and clean
This little hutch has so many little details
and a romantic feel to it
I can't quite put my finger on why
maybe it is the petite size
I am off to buy new pulls and a handle for the drawer

Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteI am just taking a break from painting my bedroom and thought I would surf through some blogs and your's was the first one to catch my eye.
I love your "new" corner cabinet! It is amazing what a litlle white paint and "elbow grease" can do to a piece that may otherwise be forgotten. Your diningroom looks truly beautiful! I stripped and repainted an old iron bed during August. I love to bring new life to old things.
I am going to read through more of your blog then head back to paint the walls...."Laura's cottage white".
Pop into my blog if you ever get a chance.
King regards, Laura
Pam it's so pretty! I'm glad you went with white it looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful transformation! Looks like it was meant to sit in that corner amongst all your other whites:-)

It turned out beautiful. Would love to do this to all my dark pieces in the dining room. Any secrets to painting furniture you care to share?
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. I have bookcase that I redid to put into my dining room and wanted to paint it, but Hubby wants to wait awhile, so maybe next year. I would love to paint it white.
