Have you noticed it is getting dark earlier in the evenings now

Even though the heat is still with us during the day

  our days are getting a little shorter

 Being the romantic that I am

to light some candles at dinner

There is something magical about candlelight 

it sets such a serene and calm mood  in a room

a quiet beauty

 This vintage  enamelware funnel 

has a rustic  vintage garden nozzle on top 

it is my favorite candle holder it is so funky and fun

To add a little romance try lighting a few candles at dinner

We are at it again cleaning out the garage

{still trying to get a car in there}

the funny part is trying to convince handsome husband

 he does not need to keep all those tshirts 

from high school that do not fit him anymore??

Fun watching him model his favorites!!!

The best part is finding little treasures like these adorable baby shoes

These tiny shoes bring back so many wonderful memories

 of our children's first steps

The thrill and excitement of each step they took hands up high in the air 

for balance 

holding our breath with every step they took

{sigh}

They grow up so fast.....

Grateful to have found these adorable treasures of the heart
we are still trying to figure out how they ended up in the garage
 with the garden tools mmm....
its a mystery

it sits on our master bedroom door

It was a Mothers day gift a few years ago

It reminds me of  a vintage doorstop

This one is on our daughters bedroom door

She is

finished with her sophomore year of college in Texas

Having her home is the best Mothers day present I could receive

receiving homemade cards for any occasion

This is the card our son made me for Mother's day a few 

years ago.

It sits on my inspiration board and

  makes me smile every time I see it
