Coronado Beach House remodel bathrooms

Hi Everyone

 Happy Friday

♥

The Coronado remodel had

three very dated bathrooms that needed upgrades

This is the after picture of the upstairs bathroom that is now

 packed with style and luxury

Clean simple details such as penny marble tile floors

a glass enclosed shower as well as a pretty new pedestal sink

A Pottery barn medicine cabinet and a new skylight helped to make
this space feel fresh spacious light and inviting

Here is the before pic

You can almost see the window

through the wavy glass shower door
it looks so dark with the tan ceiling and the wall paper

The second bathroom downstairs
was the most dramatic redo

With 1950's pink 4x4 tiles on the walls and floors
a pink bathtub as well as
a pink toilet and sink

the entire bathroom was gutted and space was maximized
to make this bathroom glamorous and elegant

This after pic shows the
Pottery barn double pedestal sink that fit perfect and looks so elegant
white subway tiles
white penny floor tiles

a massive new white soaking tub all ingredients for
a clean calm spa look and feel

The third bathroom
had floral wallpaper and gray bathtub and toilet

By Simply adding another door to make this bathroom a Jack and Jill bath
this downstairs bathroom can now also be used as a guest bath
The white penny tile floors and new shower added space
the wood based pottery barn sink added warmth
love the open shelves so great for storage

You may remember this inspiration pic the home owners
used for the master bath room

Love the result so filled with light
very clean and functional
white subway tiles and marble trim
large soaking tub and shower
double spaced mirror  and pretty new sconces
all helped to
add a simple elegance and charm

Which of these 3 bathrooms is your favorite

Coronado Beach House before and after

Hi Everyone

 Happy Friday
♥

So excited to share with you more
before and after pictures of the

 Coronado beach house remodel

The white kitchen is a dream it has

carrera marble counter tops

a glass door sub zero refrigerator

2  fisher paykel drawer dishwashers

A wolf range

a drawer microwave

and a farm house sink

it is opened to the living room and dining room and

has access to the backyard patio and pool

as you can see it is also filled with tons of natural light

Here is the kitchen before

the owners wanted to keep the original  turquoise seat

we were able to place it where it now has a great view

to the patio and pool outside as well as the rest of the kitchen

and dining room

The dining room before
the stainglass was pretty but made the room very dark

The dining room after

With the ceiling raised and a larger window

the room is elegant and filled with light

The living room before

Notice the closed tunnel stairway to the right

and the stone on the fireplace

The living room after

as you can see the ceiling was raised

the floors through out the house are tile

 {looks like wood}

The wall was removed seperating the kitchen from the living room

the fireplace was completley redone

and a bifold door replaced the sliders to open up the entire house to the outside patio

and pool area

The stairway was opened up and a new dutch door

with side lights was added to add charm and light to the front door and entry way

Here is the front door before

The front of the house before

The front of the house after

I will be sharing more pictures of the bedrooms and bathrooms soon

So much fun to finally get to share with you this amazing home

Coronado remodel update

Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday

♥

Here is the brand new
front dutch door and side lights
 for the Coronado house

{LoveLoveLove}

It is so cute !!!
I can't wait for it to be painted
anyone want to guess what color it will be

This is what the front door
 looked like before....
We eliminated the very outdated stone from the side walls
and raised the roof line  this opened up the space
adding air and light to the front entry way
really makes the entrance much more welcoming

I have received so many emails
about the tile floors
they look so much like wood that they have fooled everyone who has seen them
The color is Cambridge Oak- Brown made by Ragno
We are so happy with the way they look and feel
best part is with sandy feet and puppies as well as pool chlorine etc
the upkeep will be much easier than real wood floors
The tile comes in different colors
we even decided to put the white washed wood tile in the upstairs bedroom
~
We had a major set back on the remodel

we had to remove the roof
which should have been done at the start of the remodel
and then just as if it was in a movie
 it rained

so right now we are praying that we can get the new roof on before

it rains again this weekend
We have a huge tarp placed over the house like a big circus tent

We are in the midst of a very bad drought here in Southern California
so we are grateful for the rain
its just the timing is a little inconvenient
this has also set us back a few weeks or more so
we will not meet the February move in date
~
The good news is
there is more time to shop for furniture which is so much fun

grateful for the extra time and grateful for the rain too

Coronado Remodel update

Hi Everyone

 Happy Thursday

♥

The Coronado remodel

is starting to come together

The siding for the entire house started going up this week
deciding between shingles or siding was a big decision

The inspiration for the siding came from this house

we chose a traditional 5 inch siding

The siding will be painted white and shutters

will be added

the dutch door will be installed soon and

a new brick walkway will replace the existing cement

{ desperately trying to save all the beautiful rose bushes}

So fun to see the kitchen with its drywall and mudding complete

now we wait for this to dry

the small half wall will have the original turquoise built in seat  and table

We added a window on the back wall to draw your eye to the back pantry

this helped to add light as well as dimension

{Love}

that the kitchen is right off the patio to the backyard pool

the subzero glass refrigerator goes on the right wall

next to the Carrera marble counter top and farmhouse sink

The raised ceilings in the living room have transformed the entire home

We were able to raise the ceilings in the entry way and the dining room too

Can't wait to add chandeliers everywhere

Hardwood floors will be installed

 throughout the entire house

I am excited to finally be able to share with you all

that I was asked to audition

for a new HGTV design show

it has been the most exciting opportunity

fingers crossed I will get the chance to move on

just being asked to interview has been a blessing

Thank you all for your emails and comments of encouragement

I guess my hint was pretty good LOL

This came so out of the blue

it was not something that was even on my radar so to speak

but it has been thrilling to step out of my comfort zone and learn and grow

I would

{Love}

 to know what is
 your

 favorite design show on HGTV
