Coronado Beach House remodel bathrooms

 Happy Friday

The Coronado remodel had

 three very dated bathrooms that needed upgrades

This is the after picture of the upstairs bathroom that is now

 packed with style and luxury

Clean simple details such as penny marble tile floors 

a glass enclosed shower as well as a pretty new pedestal sink 

A Pottery barn medicine cabinet and a new skylight helped to make
 this space feel fresh spacious light and inviting

Here is the before pic 

You can almost see the window 

through the wavy glass shower door
it looks so dark with the tan ceiling and the wall paper

The second bathroom downstairs
was the most dramatic redo

With 1950's pink 4x4 tiles on the walls and floors
a pink bathtub as well as
a pink toilet and sink

the entire bathroom was gutted and space was maximized
to make this bathroom glamorous and elegant

This after pic shows the
 Pottery barn double pedestal sink that fit perfect and looks so elegant
white subway tiles
white penny floor tiles

 a massive new white soaking tub all ingredients for
a clean calm spa look and feel

The third bathroom
had floral wallpaper and gray bathtub and toilet

By Simply adding another door to make this bathroom a Jack and Jill bath
 this downstairs bathroom can now also be used as a guest bath
The white penny tile floors and new shower added space
 the wood based pottery barn sink added warmth
love the open shelves so great for storage

You may remember this inspiration pic the home owners
used for the master bath room

Love the result so filled with light
very clean and functional
white subway tiles and marble trim
large soaking tub and shower
double spaced mirror  and pretty new sconces
all helped to
add a simple elegance and charm

Coronado Beach House before and after

So excited to share with you more
before and after pictures of the

 Coronado beach house remodel

The white kitchen is a dream it has 

carrera marble counter tops

 a glass door sub zero refrigerator

2  fisher paykel drawer dishwashers

A wolf range

a drawer microwave 

and a farm house sink

it is opened to the living room and dining room and 

has access to the backyard patio and pool

 as you can see it is also filled with tons of natural light

Here is the kitchen before 

the owners wanted to keep the original  turquoise seat 

we were able to place it where it now has a great view

 to the patio and pool outside as well as the rest of the kitchen

and dining room

the stainglass was pretty but made the room very dark

With the ceiling raised and a larger window 

the room is elegant and filled with light

Notice the closed tunnel stairway to the right

 and the stone on the fireplace

as you can see the ceiling was raised

the floors through out the house are tile

 {looks like wood}

The wall was removed seperating the kitchen from the living room 

the fireplace was completley redone

and a bifold door replaced the sliders to open up the entire house to the outside patio

and pool area

The stairway was opened up and a new dutch door 

with side lights was added to add charm and light to the front door and entry way

Coronado Remodel before and after

I am so thrilled to 

share with you 

 before and after pictures 

 of the Cornado beach house remodel 

This was 

such a fun project and a priveledge to work on

As you can see the living room before was dated 

the stone fireplace did not have a mantel

there was only one opening through the dining room into the kitchen

there was peach carpet through out the house

the stairway leading to the upstairs bedroom was a closed in tunnel

the ceiling was very low 

Here is the living room after picture

so much has changed

removing the wall on the left  and providing

 access to the kitchen opened up the entire house

Removing the old stone on the fireplace and creating 

a mantel as well as interest with  brick and mill work molding 

created a wonderful focal point for the room

opening up the stairway also helped to add interest

 and light to the room as well as eliminating the closed in tunnel effect

raising the ceilings allowed for a more 

expansive feeling to the room

The carpet was removed throughout the entire house

and tile was installed 

The  Ragno tile looks so much like wood 

it fools everyone 

 tile is such a marvelous product to use near the beach or a pool

The front entry now has a welcoming white dutch door and
my favorite nautical navy blue and white anchor door mat which
sets the tone for the rest of the house

Before and After with chalk paint

Hi Everyone

 Happy Friday

♥

This vintage hall tree was in really bad shape

 when we found it on one of our early morning walks
it was on the side of the road in the trash pile
our neighbors son and his roommates were throwing it away

The bones were good
but it did need work
this piece just seemed to be screaming chalk paint

You may remember this before picture.........
 So with the "vintage white" chalk paint in hand and no sanding or primer
this  trashed hall tree started to come alive
all the lovely details really began to pop

Because this was my first time using chalk paint
it was fun to see if it was going to live up to all the hype I had read about
yes it is worth all the hype
{Love} 
chalk paints coverage I only gave this piece one coat to see the coverage
it was amazing and it
has a great matt finish that has a vintage look and feel

Do you see the bullet mark on the top left of the mirror
 someone had used this piece for bb gun target practice
We were going to replace it but
that just had to stay as part of the history of our new vintage hall tree
makes me giggle

  The hall tree looks right at home

Vintage White Hutch

 Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday

This little hutch has stolen my heart

♥

Here is the before picture

 I was going to paint it gray 

I painted the sides to see

how it looked with gray on one side

  white on the other

 The hutch just came alive with the white paint

{Love}

the contrast of the gray walls and the white furniture

 So grateful that this vintage piece 

did not end up at the dump

Before and after

It turned out so crisp and clean

This little hutch has so many little details
 and a romantic feel to it
I can't quite put my finger on why
maybe it is the petite size
 I am off to buy new pulls and a handle for the drawer

Vintage Painted White

Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday

 On my morning walk I found this vintage
singer sewing machine base.

I actually grabbed it from the trash mans hands
Can you believe someone was throwing this away?

This is what it looked like when I found it

someone had

painted it a orange gold color

A little white paint and it looks so clean and beautiful

 you can see the little rollers on the bottom of the legs

It fits right in

Its amazing what a little white paint can do
