French Folding Table

There are  exciting changes

 happening here at 

White Ironstone Cottage

{Love}

 when a new vintage treasure finds its way into our home 

This beautiful chippy, rusty, yellow

 distressed vintage French folding table

 is now our new entry table

When handsome husband 

 found this table at a garage sale for $10

and brought it home

my original plan was to put it in our guest cottage
 as a desk

 but...

When the boys brought it inside the house

 it looked so pretty

 that we quickly rearranged 

the furniture 

we were surprised that it fit so well 

next to the front door

Fabulous chippy  yellow paint

loads of character

an amazing buy

 for only 10 bucks

 The previous owner was from Germany

 and said she bought this table at a

 french flea market 40 years ago

Decorating with vintage

 is a great

 way to save money ,while adding charm and beauty to any home

One of the easiest ways to add charm, beauty and romance

 to any room is by adding vintage treasures

{Love}

to buy vintage items which allows me

 to create a specific look

 on a small budget

With a few pretty flowers in a white ironstone pitcher

 and this vintage french bistro chair 

our Home has a

 clean and romantic feel

When shopping for vintage items

 try to think beyond just one room

 its fun to move things around from our

 kitchen to the living room 

and even our bedrooms

This vintage chair has been used in every room in our house

{Love}
to set the stage before even walking in the house
 by hanging flowers on the front door too

or by simply adding one single garden rose 

 to a vintage watering can

or in your garden

A easy  inexpensive way to add color

and  fragrance to any room is to add
a simple bowl of bright yellow lemons

 This recently found vintage wicker tray 

from the Long Beach flea market

got a little makeover today
Latte our cat
liked the tray too

Look at the funky vintage shelf  paper
on the bottom of the wicker tray

 A little white paint gave the tray 

a new crisp clean look
