Vintage Enamelware

Hi Everyone
 Happy Monday
Vintage enamelware
is a great treasure to find no matter where you find it
but finding  a few enamelware pieces in Paris
was a dream come true

Have you noticed that enamelware
never seems to go out of style

Being a fan and collecting enamelware for ages
it is placed all through out our home

From our kitchen as well as in our garden
 and all around our house

You all know that
we really do
 USE
everything in our home or  it gets donated

The great thing about vintage enamelware is
it is so sturdy and functional
it only gets better with use and age
{Love}

Vintage enamelware is a beautiful way to add
vintage charm to any space in your home

This fabulous vintage enamelware bucket and funnel
are sitting in two large vintage white ironstone bowls
in the front entrance to our home
the  enamelware bucket will soon be filled with candy
for Halloween
We don't buy any candy
 until the 31st
that way we are not tempted
 to eat it
I used to try and hide it but that never worked
someone always found it!!!

Vintage enamelware

Hi Everyone
 Happy Saturday
So many times when we pack up all the Christmas stuff
and start to put it all away in the rafters
we find boxes that are not marked
This is when the fun begins
We always bring the boxes down and slowly open each one to see what is inside
Sometimes its a bust , the box is just full of
old tax receipts .......

And Sometimes we open a box full of forgotten treasures
This morning we found two unmarked boxes
look what was inside the first box
This beautiful vintage enamelware bread tray
along with a few more treasures
Pretty sure the vintage tray ended up in the wrong box
because it was NOT marked !!!!
so you all can guess what we are doing this weekend
yes
We are opening up ALL the boxes and MARKING them

Double checking to be sure we have the
  Christmas stuff marked Christmas
the Easter stuff marked Easter
and the tax receipts marked tax receipts
you get the idea

This is one of those
"We should do that someday"
ideas that has been fun to finally do
we have had a blast looking at boxes filled with old pictures and our children's school art work,
a box filled with handsome husbands old baseball caps
and even a box of Christmas tree lights that we thought we had lost a few years ago
{that box was  just marked " stuff "}

This has been such a fun Saturday treasure hunting in our very own garage

Romantic Candlelight

Hi Everyone
Happy Wednesday
Have you noticed it is getting dark earlier in the evenings now
Even though the heat is still with us during the day
our days are getting a little shorter

Being the romantic that I am
{Love}
to light some candles at dinner

There is something magical about candlelight
it sets such a serene and calm mood  in a room
a quiet beauty

 This vintage  enamelware funnel
has a rustic  vintage garden nozzle on top
it is my favorite candle holder it is so funky and fun

To add a little romance try lighting a few candles at dinner
I have found kids
{Love}
candlelight  too

Vintage Enamelware

 Hi Everyone
 Happy Wednesday
Sometimes it is the simple things that can change the coarse of a day
~Simple~
 like these beautiful organic strawberries

Melt in your mouth and smelling so fresh and yummy
it was difficult not to eat the entire bunch  in the car while driving home
We have a certified organic farm down the street from our home called
It is wonderful

My plan was to make a delicious dessert with the strawberries
but my husband came home and while we were standing in the kitchen talking
we each grabbed a few berries from the enamelware colander
Then our son and his friends came home from baseball practice
and they had a few strawberries from the colander
You can probably guess what happened

We ate all the strawberries
Just the way God made them fresh from the vine and perfect
We did not miss the sugar, flour, salt or vanilla one bit
they were the best treat as is
