Hi Everyone
Happy Saturday
♥
This time of year the hydrangeas start to
show off in our front yard
The colors are so romantic
soft pale purple and lots of Pink
They remind me so much of the beautiful hydrangeas blooming all
over one of our favorite vacation spots Martha's Vineyard
♥
They look so beautiful in this
vintage white ironstone pitcher
a timeless beauty
Remember cut hydrangeas need to be put in water right away

Growing hydrangeas is very rewarding
and a true test of faith
Each year we cut them off almost completely and then I watch hope and pray that the
leaves will start to return and the flowers will begin to bloom again

Our daughter said she likes this large
purple and pink stem with its soft combination of colors
Grateful for such simple timeless beauty

The colorful hydrangeas are gorgeous! You are so lucky to have the perfect climate there to grow them. The PG white hydrangeas are the only ones that do well in Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteYour hydrangeas are beautiful, Pam! I just planted three this year ~ just before the heat wave hit. I've been watering them and hope they will hold on. They are the darker pink like the ones in your picture.
ReplyDeleteYour hydrangeas are stunning! Absolutely gorgeous! Mine are all blues and I would love to have some pink and purple ones. I've heard that it depends upon the acidity of your soil but I know that mine were blue when I bought them. They do have a little purple to them but I love the variation of colors that your's have, especially that stem your daughter likes! Lovely! Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteHi Pam, I posted hydrangeas today too,I am addicted to them and keep buying more. I see we share a love for flowers! Found you through the Polo House. Would love to have you visit sometime.

Absolutely gorgeous! I just love hydrangeas - I planted 3 bushes this year and I'm so enjoying seeing them grow and bloom!
ReplyDeleteLovely hydrangeas in the pinky colors...one year mine were pink, but now they are blue as ever...
ReplyDeletePam, your hydrangeas are so beautiful! We really can't grow them in Colorado. I am vacationing in So Cal right now and you are right, they are everywhere and are amazing! My family is sick of me gasping, "look at the hydrangeas!" I absolutely love yours in the white pitcher.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment on my blog :)

They're stunning, oh I just adore those flowers - wish mine were behaving, but, alas, doesn't look like there's going to be many blooms unless this heat subsides soon.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your gorgeous hydrangeas.
Magnifique bouquet très romantique. Bonne journée.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hydrangeas and beautifully arranged! I love them in the ironstone pitcher! The colors are breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteYour hydrangeas are beautiful. I just planted my first bush and just pray it does well. I am making sure it gets plenty to drink during these hot days.
