Aren't these  vintage

 wooden shoe forms beautiful
 just look at their gorgeous patina

They are very small and were used as a form 

 to make children's shoes

They tell such a story just imagine

 every stitch of the tiny shoe made by hand 

These  vintage children's shoe forms are getting harder and harder to find

These shoe forms were found at

 Matildas Mouse sale

in Valley Center   California

so excited to go tomorrow the sale runs all weekend too

In the Fall these tiny shoe forms

 always make an appearance

 filling our home with their rich warm wooden charm

We are waiting patiently for the leaves
to turn all their beautiful fall colors

The Calendar says September but

 here in Southern California 

we are experiencing a heat wave

 With temperatures in the  high 90's it still feels more like summer

than the beginning of fall

 Decorating for Fall almost seems silly 

yet the pull of warmer tones

fires in the fireplace and cuddling in cashmere blankets 

sounds so inviting

 Our bedroom this morning
the temperature is a glorious
 81 degrees

The blanket is on the hassock 

at the ready for cooler temperatures 

Have you started decorating for fall too

Simple Fall Decor

Hi Everyone

 Happy Monday

♥

We had  friends over for dinner last night 

and I did not get a chance to pick flowers from the garden
plus it has been so hot
 the flowers I  cut have wilted very quickly

So into the fridge I went to see what  

might work in this pedestal vase instead of flowers

Found these beautiful

 fragrant ripe lemons 

we bought at the Farmers Market

{ we have been drinking  a lot of water with lemon slices}

The lemons have a fall  look and feel to them

so clean and fresh

perfect Fall Decor

  not only are they beautiful but  they have an amazing fragrance too
Everyone  at dinner commented on the pretty arrangement...

It's funny how

sometimes last minute ideas are the best!!!
