update for the New Year 2014
Construction over the holiday was very slow but
The balcony upstairs with its amazing view
has a pretty new brick landing
The brick will match the brick fireplace surround
and a new bricked front walkway
These are vintage bricks saved from a house
that was being remodeled down the street
I talked to the owner and asked if I could have them
he said yes !!!
The transom windows above the doorways
help to add height and interest
as well as a vintage feel
did you notice the crown molding
{Love}
The transom window above the french doors
in the living room
helps to add height and light too
This is the living room before the floors were installed
Here is the kitchen with the
floor almost complete
Do you like the wood floors
guess what
it is actually tile
it looks so much like wood
The color of the wood/tile helps to warm up the room
with white walls and a white ceiling the floors will be the anchor
The tile goes throughout the living room, dining room, kitchen
as well as the office/bedroom and back bedroom
So happy with the floors
That's it for the 2014 NewYear update
for now
With a move in date of February 10
there is still much to be done
It will be a busy January
next update will be the installation of the appliances in the kitchen
A brand new subzero glass front refrigerator and wolf range
so excited
We all know that
{The kitchen is the heart of the home}
and once these appliances have been installed it will finally
start to look and feel more like home
start to look and feel more like home
romantic saying for today
"I could conquer the world with one hand as long as your holding the other"
