Coronado Remodel update

Hi Everyone
 Happy Thursday

The Coronado remodel
is starting to come together
The siding for the entire house started going up this week
 deciding between shingles or siding was a big decision

 The inspiration for the siding came from this house
we chose a traditional 5 inch siding

The siding will be painted white and shutters
will be added
 the dutch door will be installed soon and
a new brick walkway will replace the existing cement
{ desperately trying to save all the beautiful rose bushes}

So fun to see the kitchen with its drywall and mudding complete
now we wait for this to dry
the small half wall will have the original turquoise built in seat  and table
We added a window on the back wall to draw your eye to the back pantry
this helped to add light as well as dimension
{Love}
 that the kitchen is right off the patio to the backyard pool
 the subzero glass refrigerator goes on the right wall
next to the Carrera marble counter top and farmhouse sink

The raised ceilings in the living room have transformed the entire home
We were able to raise the ceilings in the entry way and the dining room too
Can't wait to add chandeliers everywhere

Hardwood floors will be installed
 throughout the entire house

I am excited to finally be able to share with you all
 that I was asked to audition
 for a new HGTV design show
it has been the most exciting opportunity
fingers crossed I will get the chance to move on
 just being asked to interview has been a blessing
Thank you all for your emails and comments of encouragement
I guess my hint was pretty good LOL
This came so out of the blue
 it was not something that was even on my radar so to speak
 but it has been thrilling to step out of my comfort zone and learn and grow
I would
{Love}
 to know what is
 your
 favorite design show on HGTV

romantic saying for today

  1. Hello Pam, I just had to become a follower. I have friends that live in Coronado, love pastels and shabby chic, used to sell at Round Top and have used only Antonia's Flowers for about the last twenty years. I think that begs following.

  3. The Coronado house is coming along. It sure takes a lot of time, work and expertise to do a remodel. Congratulations on your possible HGTV program! Wow. That is very exciting! Sadly, we only get 3 TV channels here so I don't get to see HGTV. We have chosen to not have a satelite and cable doesn't come out where we live but we have digital TV from an antenna on the roof! lol It's all we need, really. Blessings, Pam

    1. Hi Pam
      Its funny we are so busy with the remodel we do not watch much tv
      and we tape most of the shows so we can skip the commercials
      LOL
      always grateful for your sweet comments

  4. Wow Pam first of all. Congrats, on the chance for the show. That is very exciting. Your home really seems to be coming along nicely. I can't wait to see the kitchen pulled together, it sounds like it will be beautiful. So great that you got to raise the ceilings!! I am a huge fan of chandeliers. Favorite show on HGTV is hard too say, I am embarrassed to say that I am addicted to that channel and our DVR is very busy all the time!

  6. Congrats on being chosen for an interview. That is really exciting. I pray that it all works out for you-and I know that if it is supposed to happen it will-and if it doesn't work out there is something even better down the road. It's the waiting that is the worst part, isn't it?

    The place is coming along beautifully. Makes me want to get back in the rehabbing game again-after I swore I had given it up-lol Blessings- xo Diana
