Hi Everyone
Happy Friday
♥
There is a calm at our house
it feels like the calm before the storm of fun
Cleaning and getting all our Thanksgiving dishes out
Prepping for family returning home and overnight guests for
Thanksgiving dinner
This morning the weather was chilly
we made a fire to warm up the house
We have huge pine trees in our yard
with fabulous pine cones
{Love}
to bring the outside inside
Sometimes we even put the pine cones in the fire
they have the most fabulous fragrance
and it's fun to hear the crackle too
Nature is so beautiful
grabbed my camera to show you this pretty branch
that was just casually tossed on the chair
Our home will soon be filled with family and friends
so grateful
so grateful
This is the best part of the holiday being all together
with the people that you
{Love}
the countdown has begun only 6 days until Thanksgiving!!!!!
are you ready

We lit our fireplace this morning, too, even though it wasn't really cold enough. We just thought it'd look pretty. :p
ReplyDeleteAs always, really nice photos. We have pretty much nothing but pine trees where I live. I think we need to incorporate their beauty into our Christmas decor, too... if only I could find the room! The Christmas bling at our house this year is coming out the wazoo.

Very sweet post, Pam! I can't believe how short the days are already and how very close we are to all of the holidays! We used to have many evergreen in our yard but they were 1000 years old and nothing would grow under them so we had to say goodbye to them. I so miss cutting the branches to bring inside and of course the free pine cones!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
XO,
Jane

You might want to contact the fire dept. about putting pine cones in your fireplace. Seems that I read about chimneys getting matter in them causing fires from pine cones. If I'm wrong, great, hate to see anything bad happen to your home and your family. Please be very careful.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a row of sugar pines between our place and neighbors in KY, once in awhile a birds nest would fall out of the trees.
Oh Pam, what a beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving day with your family!
