They look pink in some of these pictures
but they are actually the most amazing
lavender color
Sweet pea
is the perfect name for such a sweet smelling flower
I put them in the crystal vase my Grandmother gave me when I graduated from college
She {Loved} sweet peas too
Her garden was full of them
the fragrance engulfed her entire house
Every time I smell them I think of her
I planted some in our garden this year and I
can't wait to pick a few flowers from our garden
in a few weeks

They look so pretty, Pam! Now smell is an option I would keep turned on for flower posts {maybe not for food posts}! : )
ReplyDeletePam, sweet peas are one of my favorite flowers! They smell so good and look so beautiful! When I was a child, sweet peas used to grow wild on the lot next to our house. I used to go down a fairly steep hill to pick them and bring them to my mother. She used to yell at me for going down the steep bank to get them but I think secretly she was glad I picked them and didn't get hurt of course!
ReplyDeletea smell app would be awesome!
ReplyDeletethey're beautiful!! xoxo
What a sweet breath of spring, Pam! Love your photos today! :)

You are a wonderful old soul :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, my. I have been growing them for years; and the first thing anyone says when they see my sweet peas is that it reminds them of their grandparents. They are an old-fashioned flower, but their charm never gets old. I love them! Beautiful pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I can't wait to see your sweet peas in your garden. I might have to add some of these this year.
