Time sure flies when your having fun

 was an amazing year filled 

with

An exciting trip to New York City 

A beautiful photo shoot and spread in Romantic Country magazine 

a highlight in Romantic Homes magazine

our bedroom highlighted in HGTV magazine

an awesome photography class with Cynthia Shaffer

 and a invitation to audition for a new HGTV television show

 all these adventures/opportunities were unexpected unplanned

and a dream come true

 {Handsome husband and I celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary this year}

What I  learned in
2013 

is to believe that anything is possible
 with God

 To try to stay open to new opportunities

and that you are never too old to learn and try something new

I am so grateful for every day with this man
He is my best friend
 a wonderful husband and father
and the one I
  {Love}

We traveled a lot this year
going to sunny Hawaii

Ending the  year in snowy
 Telluride Colorado

Do you make New Years resolutions
I have to say I did when I was younger
 but I have learned to
let go and simply trust Gods plan
His plans are always bigger better and more wonderful than we could ever imagine
This year is proof of that

My wish for you is that
the New Year

love, family, friends, faith, health and new adventures

A White Christmas

There is something so magical about 

a white Christmas

not only is snow beautiful it is also so much fun

This year we are celebrating 

Christmas in beautiful

Telluride Colorado
 our drive from sunny San Diego was 

awe inspiring

 the changes in topography 

Beautiful mountains and trees as far as the eye can see
The trees are heavy with newly fallen snow

The cabin is decorated
 being all together

making memories is

the best gift of all

A Christmas present

 Hi Everyone

 Happy Monday

Going green for Christmas this year

with just hints of red and loads of white all through out the house

It is fun

to use items that we already have in different and unusual ways to decorate the house

for Christmas 

 These green garden wellies look so cute 

with a tiny Christmas tree tucked inside
 and a few candy canes

You can see that I  really do use my garden wellies

 they are usually sitting by the back door 

always at the ready when it is time to go outside and garden

 {they are great for the rain too}

A little bling and a simple 

red and white ribbon add just the right 

amount of Christmas cheer

The green wellies were a Christmas gift

 a few years ago 

they make a great present

Simple Christmas decor

Hi Everyone

 Happy Thursday

♥

Have you ever heard the saying 

"Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans"

well that explains the last week 

here at our Home

We did not get to go to the Vintage Marketplace as planned

we all caught "the bug" going around
 and it pingponged from one family member to the other
 like dominos falling ...
we all got hit

The good news is we are all healthy again
and it feels so good to feel good

Our home is very simply decorated so far this
Christmas

Just {Love} how
the paperwhites have bloomed
they are  placed everywhere around the house

This beauty is in the dining room and looks like a
peacock all spread out and showing off
it smells amazing

We still have a few white Christmas roses blooming in the front yard

This simple diy wooden chalkboard frame
made with reclaimed wood
got a little bling and a few white stars

and a place of honor at the front entry

Slowing down was a gift
and really helped our family
appreciate the simple things
this season

I want to invite you to visit

Our paper white bulbs are blooming like crazy and
 for such a tiny little flower they sure have a beautiful and powerful fragrance
We started to decorate our mantel for
  Christmas last night
somehow these
vintage white jars have multiplied all over our cottage
they are just too cute to pass up when found
{Love}
 the way the paperwhite flowers look
 plopped inside these
vintage white jars

I am only giving you a peek at the mantel because
 it is still a work in progress 

we have had such a busy wonderful week
that I haven't been able to get all
 the Christmas decorations
 down from the rafters yet

With Christmas carols playing on the radio and 

our first candle already lit for advent last night
